If you’re reading this, you are most likely one of my dear family and friends back home in Petoskey, Michigan. In an effort to keep in contact with my aquaintances, as well as record my experiences here at Liberty University, I thought I would create another blog in addition to A Quill and Inkwell. Thank you for stopping by!
If you are simply a curious reader of no relation or aquaintance to me, thank you for stopping by as well! My name is Phylicia Duran, and I am a mid-year sophomore at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. This blog is meant to be a connection between myself and home, as well as an online journal to record my life at LU.
Liberty is the largest evangelical Christian university in the world. The student body represents all 50 states in the U.S. as well as 70 countries worldwide. We like to make the claim that we are “the most exciting university in the nation”, with so many events, speakers, athletics, academics and opportunities available to students. Founded by Rev. Jerry Falwell in 1971, Liberty has grown from a small Baptist college to the home of over 11,000 residential students as well as over 35,000 distance learning students through Liberty University Online.
My first two years of college were done through LUO as well as through my local community college, North Central. As a nineteen-year-old near junior, I have transferred to the campus of LU and am learning what it means to become a ‘Champion for Christ’ — which is what Liberty University develops each student to become.
Thank you again for your readership! I hope what you see here blesses and encourages you. Christ is indeed the source of all hope and knowledge — the purpose and reason for life on earth.

Phylica, can you tell me what liberty is doing this year for an equestrian team and what barn it is located at. Is Crystal rivers still involved or even still at Serene Creek. What is the status of the team, barn, coach, etc. Thank you for responding
